Research Groups
Unit Ci2 develops research in the areas of Information Sciences, Science Engineering and Engineering, without prejudice to other areas of interest, either in experimental development, as in applied research, in the following thematic areas:
- Intelligent and Pervasive Environments: Big Data and Decision Support Systems,
Monitoring and Control Systems, E-health and Assisted Living Environments - Sustainable Resources Management: Energy, Transport and Environment, Efficiency and
Productivity
The Ci2 privileges the interaction between and with:
- the two main lines of investigation within Ci2
- the community of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, in which the Course Programs and the Laboratories are particularly integrated
- the surrounding community, including Companies, Associations and Local Authorities
- the remaining network of the Portuguese Scientific System, in particular through collaborating or integrated researchers into other R&D Centers
