Joana Matos

Joana Matos is an assistant professor at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL) and an integrated researcher at Autonoma-TechLab (UAL), and also an adjunct professor at Universidade Nova de Lisboa Faculdade de Economia e Gestão (NOVASBE). She holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL) where she also holds an M.Sc. degree and a B.Sc. both in Mathematics. During her academic career, she developed a great passion for teaching Mathematics (an area in which she also holds a Master degree). Her research interests are in the areas of Mathematics with an emphasis on Semigroups and its Applications and of Computer and Information Sciences with an emphasis on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
